Winter access is a genuine scheduling factor. Steep driveways, snowpack and frozen ground affect both installer availability and exterior work, and a January install is a different proposition from a July one.

Permitting runs through Teller County rather than the Pikes Peak Regional Building Department, which catches out homeowners and occasionally contractors who assume the Colorado Springs process applies.
